This was a new build 2 storey office block occupying a very picturesque location in Egham although still very close to the major motorway networks. Of particular interest was the design of the reception which featured a large, open plan, 2 storey high, fully glazed, central atrium.
Prior to being let the client requested a CAT A M&E fit-out. The mechanical installation included a 4 pipe fan coil unit system with intelligent BMS controls. There was a supplementary fresh air supply and all mechanical plant was roof mounted, including the 2 AHU’s which were by specification ‘heat recovery’ to achieve the requirements of part L regulations.
The main feature of the electrical works was the provision of specialist design lighting in the central atrium reception. A fully programmable busbar system was installed for both the lighting and the fan coil units and the whole building was fully automated on a BMS.
