Following several successful phases of work for Harvey Nichol's flagship store in Knightsbridge, Trinity were asked to carry out store extension works to their Birmingham branch in conjunction with the main contractor Andbridge Ltd.
This was the first of Harvey Nichols' small format stores which opened in Birmingham's Mailbox Centre in 2001. It is situated on the first floor of the centre with a glass bridge connecting its two sides. Additional works have now taken place to extend the original store to incorporate a further 2 units that have been recently acquired on the same level.
The scope of the mechanical works included installation of completely new air-conditioning and air-handling plant to cope with the increased ventilation requirements of both the existing store area and the additional units. This in turn necessitated full replacement of existing fan-coil units and provision of associated ductwork, pipework and a new BMS controls system. Trinity were also required to supply and install new Sanitaryware in the personal shopping area with associated pipework and a new Megaflow water heater.
