Evolution House is an existing large industrial unit comprising a combination of warehouse/factory and office spaces. It has undergone complete refurbishment prior to becoming a large print works for the DSI Print Group.
One of the major challenges on this project was the constant change in the scope of the works due to Client funding issues. This brought about wholesale changes to the original scheme proposals via in depth value engineering exercises. In order to achieve agreement on the revised scope Trinity worked closely with Flatt’s, Skansen and DSI personnel to determine the mechanical services which were essential to the Client’s printing operations.
Trinity commenced the project with the installation of mechanical services including ventilation and associated ductwork for the print rooms, VRV cooling systems for the Comms rooms and Inergen / Igen extract systems associated with the fire suppression systems. In the warehouse where the main print equipment is located a high level gas-fired Ambi-rad heating system was installed. A Trend based building management system was included in the office area with stand alone control systems for the plant associated with the specialised print areas.
