Trinity in partnership with Longcross Construction were appointed via a 2 stage tender process particular to the Oxford University Estates Department. The M&E works were designed and procured in conjunction with Longcross, Hoare Lea Partnership, Oxford University Estates Department and Turner & Townsend on the basis of a genuine open book approach to achieve an optimum solution for the end users.
The project entailed a large data centre which houses the Oxford Super Computer and 8 science labs with associated support facilities. We were heavily involved in the design and procurement of a number of very specialised services works packages including nitrogen based fire suppression systems, laboratory gas storage and distribution and high voltage installations.
1st fix works progressed well with planning and sequencing of the complex integrated services testing phase running in parallel. The project completed in early December ’07 with the OSC data centre being completed in advance. Our client, Oxford University, were extremely satisfied and are very keen to continue working with Trinity in the future.
