This project was won in competitive tender and is a new high quality residential development for Berkeley Homes. The development comprises 56 quality apartments and town houses within the confines of what was previously Ethelburga School and grounds in Battersea. The development comprises a range of accommodation from five bedroom town houses to studio apartments with external car parking, and an affordable housing block, together with all associated infrastructure and external works.
There was a lengthy exercise in developing final flat and house layouts, kitchen design and bathroom/shower provision in which we were heavily involved, assisting with options and alternatives before arriving at client sign off.
The build quality had to be to an extremely high standard to meet the satisfaction of Berkeley Homes. Our works were progressively checked and signed off as part of a strict QA regime involving ourselves, the main contractor and Berkeley Homes. The project was completed in phases with owners occupying prior to completion. This meant very careful planning of our remaining works and close liaison with the Berkeley Homes management staff to prevent disturbing the new owners.
