Situated in the heart of Slough, this project comprised the design and installation of M&E services to an existing 20,000 sq ft shell warehouse unit. Prior to our works a mezzanine floor was constructed at one end of the building to create 2 storey offices measuring 5,000 sq ft which included amenity accommodation and ground floor toilets.
The major mechanical installation comprised a Mitsubishi VRV air conditioning system with 12 fan coil units connected to 1 externally sited condensing unit. An additional split condensing unit was installed in the IT and Comms room. 2 Mitsubishi Lossnay heat recovery units, one per floor, provided recirculated heat to the incoming fresh air supply. There were kitchenette and toilet installations with associated pipework, sanitaryware and catering equipment. Hot water services to these areas were provided by a small Megaflow water heater.
The electrical services comprised a new MCB distribution board supplying power to the new mechanical plant and small power to the office accommodation, the latter being run though the skirting trunking. A standard switched lighting scheme was installed with PIR switching in the toilet areas.
